A new “rent control” act was put in place in October 2019 statewide by the the State of California. The act is called the “Tenant Protection Act of 2019” there is some very pertinent information in this video that pertains to investment multi unit property owners and what new regulations are in place when it comes to increasing rent rates for tenants as well as eviction etc. There are several IMPERATIVE dates to pay attention to that we have highlighted in order to help you stay in compliance and up to date with the new law. Most especially this upcoming October 31, 2019.

Thank you for doing this. Is the notification to tenants on Jan 1 or July 1 the RCJC they spoke about at the meeting that he said needed to be in the tenants hands Dec 31st. He said it would be available Dec 15th.
