Paul’s Pick #1 – 43 Grand Boulevard – San Mateo [click here for more]
For my first pick this week, I have a duplex at 43 Grand Boulevard in San Mateo. This property’s overall location, condition and unit mix makes it ideal for you owner-occupiers who are looking to increase your purchasing power and get into a better neighborhood by buying a property that works for you, that generates income. And what sets this duplex apart from most is the fact that both units are just about market-level rents, making them easier to finance and also allows for a smoother transition and becoming a landlord.
Paul’s Pick #2 – 216 Victoria Road – Burlingame [click here for more]
For my second pick this week, I have 216 Victoria Road in Burlingame. Like on a couple of Picks lately, I love this home because how the current floor plan allows for easy master suite-family room addition to be added on the back. And why I like opportunities like these so much is it’s not only a great way to add your own equity, but if you’re concerned about personal home in this hot market, it’s important to find what will fit your needs the next 8 to 10 years, because if you own a property on the Peninsula for that long, you can’t go wrong. So it’s great to identify home that can grow as your needs change.
Paul’s Pick #3 – 1691 Parkview Drive – San Bruno [click here for more]
For my final pick this week, I’m doing something a little different; I’m giving you a two for one special. It’s 1691 and 150 Parkview Drive in San Bruno. Both are great add-value opportunities. I do prefer the split-level of floor plan, and the family addition that 1691 enjoys, but the reason these are both on my list is because of location, the Parkview Terrace Neighborhood is by far the best neighborhood in San Bruno. It’s a great sunny pocket, steps away from Bruno Park, very comparable to Lomita Hills Neighborhood of Millbrae. So if you’re a San Mateo or Millbrae buyer in the 1.1 to 1.2 price range and you’re getting frustrated trying to find the right home for the right price, I would strongly suggest you expanding your search to include the Parkview Terrace Neighborhood in San Bruno.
