My first pick this week is a duplex on 10th Avenue, in one of my favorite neghborhoods in San Mateo, Hayward Park. If you enjoy being walking distance to a vibrant downtown, parks and public transportation, then this location is for you. Consisting of a 3-bedroom 2-bathroom remodeled unit, in a 2-bedroom 2-bathroom unit, this opportunity is perfect for home buyers who are looking to increase their purchasing power by buying the property that actually helps you pay your mortgage. Now if the larger down payment is a concern, I understand, but I work with a couple different mortgage workers who have 10% and 15% down options, so do not let that hold you back.
Paul’s Pick #2 – 2829 Hillside Drive – Burlingame [click here for more]
My second pick this week is a 1920s tudor at 2829 Hillside Drive in Burlingame. By now you should know that I love the charm and craftsmanship that come with homes built in this area, but what I really love and what’s unique about this home is how the owners utilized a third of acre lot that it sits on. Because of topography, most homes in Burlingame Hills with a lot this size only utilize 50% or so of the land, but that’s not the case here. This property is beautifully terraced, making room for a pool area, lawn, herb garden, even a bocce ball court, making it perfect for entertaining.
Paul’s Pick #3 – 324 Juanita Avenue – Millbrae (Call for more details)
My last pick this week is for all you developers out there or homeowners who are looking for expansion potential. 324 Juanita Avenue is a 3-bedroom 2-bathroom fixer-upper in the Lomita Hills neighborhood of Millbrae. Sitting on 11,000 square foot level lot, your expansion potential is really only limited by your imagination or the size of your pocket book. Listed now for just under 1.2 million, it’s been on the market for about two weeks, telling me its listed for just about add-value. So if you’re interested, it’s best to act now.
