Monday Morning Market Minute – February 15th 2016

See your home value right now:

Hi this is Dan Gilmartin with the Gilmartin Group Real Estate Company in Burlingame California, February 15th 2016. Happy President’s Day! And what a beautiful day it is today. While I was driving into work today I saw people walking into Burlingame Avenue. I saw people walking their dogs in San Mateo Park and it got me thinking, what a beautiful place we live in. And this is exactly what there is only 109 home for sale from South San Francisco to Redwood City. Now last week we had 85 homes for sale. So we jumped 28% to 109. Also, last week we had 38 homes come on to the market and we had 14 sales, homes go into contract. Now if you remember last week we had more sales than homes that came on the market. Now after Super Bowl week is through we had 38 new home come on the market and 14 homes go into contract. We also had 5 homes either expire or withdraw. Again, you might wounder why I keep adding that? There is always, possible a great opportunity on a home that has been expired. Especially in a seller’s market.

On in the condominium conversation, we have 29 condominiums for sale. That’s down. We had 16 new  condominiums come on the market. We had 10 condominiums go into contract.

So, out of the 66,089 homes from South San Francisco to Redwood City we currently have 138 homes on the market. That number is up 13%.
